As a retirement gift, GSI gave Ed this laser-cut wooden map of the underwater topography of the Columbia and Willamette Rivers in Portland.

GSI general manager Ed Tenny has announced that he will be retiring at the end of the year. Those who know Ed are aware that this is not the first time he’s retired—and likely not the last.

Ed joined GSI three years ago for what was intended to be an 18- to 24-month assignment to put his considerable management expertise to good use. During his time here, Ed has helped GSI with strategic planning and visioning, and guided the company through major management and organizational changes. We are lucky we’ve to have had his wisdom and guidance as long as we did.

Please help us in thanking Ed for his service at GSI. He’ll still be around from time to time as needed, of course (because Ed could never truly retire), but now he’ll have more time to enjoy his grandkids, travel, and plot his next career move.
