Ryan’s water resources experience includes groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling, water resources planning, characterization and development of new water supplies, water rights permitting, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) feasibility studies, and developing water management and conservation plans. He is knowledgeable in GIS, engineering design, and data visualization software, including MODFLOW/FREEWAT, GeoStudio, PHREEQC, AQTESOLV, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Arc/QGIS.
Ryan provides essential support to project managers in GSI’s Oregon offices. He is experienced in collecting groundwater, soil, and soil vapor samples; creating geologic cross-sections and 3D models; overseeing labs and contractors; developing and managing sampling and field programs; developing and overseeing aquifer tests; and analyzing field and laboratory data.
He also has experience with environmental and wastewater projects. Ryan is knowledgeable in surface water and watershed modeling, wastewater management, remedial system design, and site characterization activities, including media testing, contaminant sampling, and selecting appropriate drilling methods.
