Ellen's experience includes collecting hydrologic measurements and data, performing reconnaissance work, water sampling and testing, logging, and fieldwork coordination. She also prepares geologic cross sections based on well logs and geologic maps, compiles and assesses water quality data, and analyzes pumping and aquifer test data, and applies her technical and scientific writing skills to help develop reports and technical memoranda. Ellen was previously a GSI intern, and joined our firm as a full-time employee in fall 2019 following the completion of her master’s degree. Ellen wrote her graduate thesis on the geochemical response to thermal energy storage in the Columbia River Basalt Group (CRBG) aquifer beneath the Portland Basin.
