Rodrigo has a strong field investigation background. His experience includes water sampling and testing, soil sampling, construction oversight, and logging for soil and groundwater remediation projects. He also has extensive experience writing technical reports in English and Spanish, including standard operating procedures, groundwater monitoring reports, and technical memoranda.

His graduate work focused on better understanding the impact of heterogeneity on nutrient cycling in the subsurface. His coursework included groundwater engineering, integrated surface water hydrology, chemical modeling of aqueous systems, and geological data analysis.
